I know that you're an expert in the arena of AD/HD, so I would recommend you blog about that. Whenever there's a news story about AD/HD you could link to it and comment on it. You could also review AD/HD Web sites and link to them. I'd include a Recommended Book List at Amazon as well…who knows, you might make some income that way as well.

Thanks for the additional info. I'm still trying to learn more about blogs and marketing and how this would improve my site and traffic…and Google ranking. Since my area of expertise is AD/HD, would I theoretically just start a blog and talk about AD/HD?

This whole concept is still so new to me; I understand personal blogs, but not as much about using it as a business tool. Any tips would be appreciated. I'll look into the program you're using, but still wonder if that is something to help with my own site.

Good question. It depends on your hosting, your registrar and your blogging software, i.e., Typepad or Blogger.

Since my favorite thing about blogs are the links, (ease of use is a close second,) I would recommend not adding one directly to your own site but having it hosted by the blog provider (for me it's Typepad.)

As far as integrating the blog into your site, you could just add an additional link/button to your navigation. If you want you can have it open in a new window. Some blogs allow you to really personalize the page, so you could duplicate your navigation and put it on the top of your blog to smooth the transition between blog and site.

Of course, you can truly integrate a blog into your Web site as well. Blog software can be installed on your server and fully integrated into your site. That's not my choice, but it's a completely valid choice depending on your situation.
