Beware This Scam: UPS Paket N3754519698

Sorry I have been quiet for a while, just got back from vacation. Here’s something I found in my inbox:

From: United Parcel Service <admkgtxokpqc@bodiesbymahmood.com>
Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2008 10:00:05 -0600
To: flyte new media <contact@flyte.biz>
Subject: UPS Paket N3754519698

Unfortunately we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on July the 1st in time
because the recipient’s address is not correct.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office

Your UPS

First tip-off that this wasn’t legitimate? Misspelling the word "packet." Second tip-off was the poor grammar of the first letter. Third was the missing period at the end of the last sentence.

Final tip-off was the return email address. I don’t believe UPS owns the bodiesbymahmood.com domain. Just saying.

I just received two of these UPS alerts. Both had a third party address. They both had zip files to open to check the paperwork….no way would the simple paperwork for a package require a zip file..so I didn't open it. Glad I read your emails. It confirms what I already thought.
    Thanks
    Courtney

I received an email notice today from someone claiming to represent UPS. I ran a google search on the supposed UPS tracking number. No results. Be aware of these shysters. In today's world, one cannot be too cautious. Good day. J

i got caught by one of these with Ghana ups that cost me 67, then 250, for a bo of clothes, secretely holding millions of cash i only have 400 a month. They made it to NY, but somehow dept of immigration got ahold of them with missing documents that was to cost me another 1800 for the poor soul who was stuck waiting on me to deliver my package. I did not have the package but would not give the office or officers # so that i may personally contact them and plead with them.

dont lose money like i==over 1500.
