TV Report on Maine Tweetups

FirefoxScreenSnapz002
Last Friday, Kara Matuszewski of WLBZ Channel 2 out of Bangor, ME, reported on Mainers' use of Twitter, and the phenomenon of "tweetups," the popular social gathering of people who know each other primarily through their use of Twitter.

I got a couple of quotes, along with Chrystie Corns, who co-organizes the tweetups with me. However, I'm most proud of the fact that I seem to be drinking a PBR in every scene.

To read the accompanying article you can check out What is Twitter? on the WLBZ Web site. That article also has the segment below.

And don't forget to follow me, Rich Brooks, on Twitter.

I think this is a really great idea, from either a business standpoint or a personal standpoint…depends on who you are and what you want right now.

In our current economy, one of the most important things that businesses can do is establish strategic relationships/alliances with other like-minded businesses and boost the bottom line of everyone involved. This can be done through pooling resources, creating joint venture opportunities, etc.

And on the social side, the benefits are obvious.

A great idea for our current situation.
