There is much more relevant to the algorithm of LinkedIn, but LinkedIn does not reveal much about the details of how their search results ranking algorithm works, and rightly so – if not a good number of people seeking manipulate the system.

It always amazes me that some people have the worst photos of themselves on LinkedIn. A friend of mine is looking for a professional job in the marketing field, and in his photo he is wearing a t-shirt and a ball cap. A nice professional photo can go a long way.
