My husband and I work in different departments of the same organization so we are in real close proximity to each other. We don't work with each other directly as stated in this, but I would really advocate making sure you keep plenty of personal time on the outside. Working and living together can put a strain on things. You have to remember to keep a life of your own and also send the kids to their uncles or grandparents so you can have personal vacations alone with your spouse.

That sounds like a conversation you should have w/him outside the workplace. I'm probably not the best resource for advice on that. Good luck.

Is it wrong if I expect my husband to back me up if I'm facing sexual harassment at work? Or do I deal with it myself as if he were not there? We both work in the same team and he is aware of the guys who bother me.

That's so wonderful of both of you.

I personally feel these rules also apply with me. I'm 22 and working with my spouse, she is doing great so far because she has had good reasons to be hired for the job she is doing.

Actually we were also in need of this, I wanted to have someone in my startup company without paying for first few months. She helped me out and asked me to teach her, so that she can be really productive for me and company. It is all about the level of understanding and sometimes talking softly. It's good to work with her.

I don't know what would she write here ;-) but I love the way things are getting better and better.
