    Rich,
Great list of blog ideas. I produced a blog post with 25 Ways to get Blog Ideas and that left me exhausted. We share many of the some sources for inspiration however you have provided a few more for me to utilise.
    Thanks
    James

Yeah, maybe I should have stopped at 25! Trying to create an exhaustive list is exhausting! Did you have any on your list I didn’t include here?

  • http://yourhowtoblogguide.com/ How to Blog

Great compilation. I have been blogging for some time now and there are times that I really don’t have any idea what to write. Yahoo answers, blog comments and linkedIn have been helping me squeeze ideas. I checked out Google alert and it’s really great! Thanks for sharing this list!

You’re not the only one! I swear by Google alerts, but sometimes you need to get creative when the well runs dry.

Change up what you do – by that I mean do something different to what you always do. Take a different route to work, go to a different supermarket. By changing it gives you the opportunity to appreciate your new surroundings more and in turn get your creative juices flowing.

    I also reccomend Alexa toolbar.

Good ideas! BTW, how do you use Alexa for content creation ideas?

Great post, Rich. I like #48 – interview experts and #37 – guest bloggers. I also like to post a poll occasionally - ask one question – promote the poll on social networks and then write a second follow up post with the results. Essentially your readers are providing the content for you by way of their responses.

Wait, you read through them all!?! I owe you a cookie.

Read them all and saved the post in my evernote notebook for blogging ideas so I can share it with my peeps when I get the “I don’t know what to write about” complaint. And, I learned about some sites I wasn’t aware of before like Hunch and Focus. Thanks for that…blog on!

I love LinkedIn Answers for developing content. I recently published a series of 4 posts on list building based on asking for tips on LinkedIn. Great way to meet new people, share some link love and produce meaty, valuable content for my readers.

Very nice post and I always found here very useful stuff whenever I visit this blog. Thank you for the great info.

We recommend one blog post per day to index your site in Google and get the most traffic to your website. We’ll maintain your blog so you can concentrate on the more important tasks, like running your business.

Wow! such an exhaustive list…I’m sure I wont run out of content creation ideas when I start out.
Thank you Rich. Fantastic Post!! Your session ‘Social to Sales’ 2012 Summit was also very informative.

Idea #47 regarding using your blog comments is a great way to build content. Don’t forget about the response you craft on other blogs when you respond to great posts like this one. The points you make–if substantial enough–may be made into their own blog posts on your site.

    Great ideas, Rich!
